Friends of the Library

The "Friends of the Library" is a group of concerned patrons who are interested in the expansion of library services to the community. Organized in 1984, their financial assistance through the years has enabled the Library to add services that would not otherwise have been possible.

These contributions include oversized bookshelves, seasonal flowers that surround the lobby fountain, paperback book racks, book carts, books on cassette, CD-ROM reference products, clocks, a Library of Congress display stand and most recently our art hanging system in the lobby.

Membership dues, plus money received through used book sales throughout the year, via book carts stationed throughout the library and the "Friends' Book Nook" bookstore located around the corner from the Circulation Desk, help in the purchase of important materials which are beyond the confines of the regular operating costs of the Library.

Annual membership fees are $5.00/Individual and $10.00/Family.
